TECHIE TUESDAY
Okay, I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted about my current, or somewhat current, favorite ipad & iphone
apps. Sorry, but there have just been too many other
exciting things going on around here lately! So, to make
up for lost time, I’m going to include several of my
newest favorite apps in this post.
The first one I want to tell you about is FLASHCARDLET.
If you have kiddos, you definitely NEED this app… for
free of course! When Ryan started first grade this year,
I found that studying spelling words with him works so
much better by starting him off with flash cards. It took
me about 2 weeks to realize that #1 buying index cards every single week was just ridiculous and #2 spelling
words change every week, so I was ending up with tons
of flash cards that he probably wasn’t even going to
use again AND it was quite a pain to have to create a
new “set” each week. So, I went on the hunt and found
this great app. Hope you find it useful with your little
ones as well!
Another app for the kids… MY MATH FLASH CARDS. Again,
this is another great app that we use on a weekly basis.
And the best part is (besides it being FREE!)… technology
is the just the way to go when it comes to this generation and I get a much better response from the little one when
I approach studying this way. It’s actually fun to him to do math on my ipad, rather than the good ‘ol pencil and paper way. A few times a week, HE will come to ME and ask to
do math on my ipad… how cool is that?! My Math Flash
Card App is for mastering basic elementary math facts: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division cards.
The third and final app that I want to share with you today
is one that has become “my right hand man”! Meet… NOTESHELF. I try my best to only share apps that are free, however this one is not. I paid $4.99 for this app, but to me it’s been worth every penny. I’ve already shared before that I
am a compulsive “list maker” and I am not exaggerating one
single bit about that. I use this app for weekly grocery list
as well as an ongoing grocery list throughout the week. I use
it for my weekly planner. And I even have a notebook for my Christmas lists on there now. My most favorite part about this app is the ability to “write” out your lists, rather than typing them, which is what you have to do with the preinstalled “Notes” app that comes on every ipad and iphone. So, if you are able to “write” out your lists, you should also be able to “mark off” that same list as you
are shopping, right?! YES!! You can… Which is solely what
won me over.
