We started celebrating Valentine's Day at our house last Friday,
and it has been so fabulous that I don't even know where to start!
I hope you all felt lots of LOVE too!!! :)
In the midst of the million and one things I had planned to get
accomplished on Friday, I get a call from Brian telling me that it's
pretty important that I be home by 5PM. HUH?! Seriously. And
no explanation either?! I've learned in the past not to ask
questions... just do what I'm told. So... when I got home,
promptly at 5PM, this was waiting for me...
Just in case you didn't catch it, these are...
FRONT ROW tickets to see Rascal Flatts & Sara Evans!!!
And it was all kinds of awesome. Good thing I picked up a new outfit
Friday... you know, "just in case"! Lol. I took advantage of those A+
seats and snapped wayyy too many pics during the concert so I will do a
separate post and share all of them later on, but I really must share one
more now...
YEP!!... Joe Don handed me his guitar pick during the encore!
Me = super ecstatic
I spent the rest of the weekend in the kitchen baking and getting
all of my VD crafts finished up. I really tried to think outside the box
for the kids gifts and this is what I came up with...
Ryan's "Gumball Machine"
Kaleigh's "Gumball Machine"
I filled them with their favorite candies and stuck in a gift
certificate for the movies. They loved them!
I made cookies and cake balls and RK treat hearts...
And cupcakes...
{pink velvet cupcakes with white chocolate buttercream icing}
I finished up Ryan's valentines for school...
And made up some baskets for my family with all of my goodies...
On Monday night, we met my parents and Jayson & Haley for
dinner at Cracker Barrel...
{please excuse the "serial killer" look... he "thought"
he was being funny... ha. ha.}
I got this from my sweet mother, and I am so IN LOVE with
these measuring spoons!! :)
And last night, we celebrated with our own little VD party with TONS
of food and Wii bowling. I must have gained 5 pounds already this week!
Welcome to our "party"...
We had...
Pizza with pepperoni "hearts"
Butter Meltaways
Cucumber Sandwiches
Pecan Praline Cookies
The kiddos made Brian a candygram...
I got him tickets to the Bama-Miss St. basketball game...
I scored BIG with some Hello Kitty too...
And the kids seemed to enjoy their Valentine's too...
